❤️ Congratulations to gorgeous bride Laura-Jean who married her beau at this gorgeously bohemian ceremony, wearing the Elektra gown by This Modern Love! ❤️
Huge thanks to Vicky Lamburn for her stylish shoot in Paris last spring… her stunning photography has been featured on the fabulous Wedding Community blog as their photo of the day! 😍
This is a design I created especially for Vicky’s shoot – a full, dramatic blush tulle gown with exquisite Italian lace on the bodice. You couldn’t hope for a finer backdrop to a romantic bridal shoot; la tour Eiffel! Beautiful 😘
💕💕💕 I LOVE this time of year when I get to see my gorgeous real brides wearing This Modern Love creations that I’ve designed and made for them 💕💕💕
Huge thanks to these gorgeous brides for sharing their beautiful photos!

🌿 H A R D W O R K I N G H A N D S 🌿
Thank you SO SO SO MUCH to all of my gorgeous brides & bridesmaids for an incredible wedding season, I’ve been fully booked ALLL summer and have been working really hard creating so many gorgeous pieces. (Will share all my creations & pics from my bridal fittings over on my blog in a couple of weeks)… I’ve even saved enough moola to pay my enormous HMRC tax bill 💁🏼you’re welcome, your majesty. Don’t spend it all at once, yeah?
❤️ I’m so thrilled and feel so honoured that brides from all over the world choose This Modern Love to wear on their special day – Bridal is a competitive industry and I’m so overwhelmed by the love and support that my designs receive ❤️ – I absolutely LOVE what I do; I love getting to know my gorgeous customers and being able to design something special just for them, I get to create beautiful things that are cherished for the most special occasion, work with incredible textiles (such a dream!), meet truly wonderful people along the way, and best of all I get to work at home (often in my PJs 😆) it means have some semblance of work life balance as when I’m not working I can be with my little girl, Eva. Like all working mums I feel the guilt that I’m not doing ‘enough’ as a mother, but I really hope that she’ll grow up to appreciate the path that I’m taking: following my creative dream, providing for her, and the challenge I face of balancing those two things.
💕I had my last bridal fitting of the season on Saturday with a gorgeous Brighton Belle, and shipped the last couple of orders today to beautiful brides in the US, Israel & Malaysia… and now it’s a little time to relax, I’m off to VENICE for the weekend and I cannot wait 😍
🙌🏻 This post is also a shout out to my hard working hands, 🙌🏻I’ve created over 300 garments this year! 🎉(In my one-woman sweatshop that is This Modern Love!😆) That includes bespoke bridal gowns, made to order bridesmaid dresses, ready to wear pieces, my best selling bridal kimonos and little lacey bolero tops – which have been a real hit this year! It also includes the special pieces I’ve made for photoshoot collaborations 👏🏻and 2017 has been the year of the photoshoot – This Modern Love has been styled and shot in Milan, Paris, Hamburg, Buxtenhude, Ohio, Bali, Singapore, London, Cornwall and close to home in Hayward’s Heath – I’m forever grateful to the amazing women who I collaborate with, it’s awesome to see my creations come to life in these fantastic styled shoots – thank you! 😘
I’m so excited about the adventures next season will bring, and look not forward to creating more gorgeous gowns for my beautiful customers who have booked in for SS18. My Etsy store is closed for a few weeks as I’m now working on my collection for #weddingseason 2018 and have a shoot planned for the end of the month (can’t wait to share my new designs with you!) and I’m taking part in a fairy tale catwalk show up in St Andrews next spring.
But for now, (skip to the end) thank you, thank you, thank you 😘😘😘
